On behalf of the Board of Fire Commissioners and our dedicated team, I extend a warm welcome to our website. It is our pleasure to provide you with timely updates and valuable information related to our department and the events that impact our community.

Allow me to offer some insights into Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue. Originating as a volunteer department in the late 1950s, we have evolved into a career fire department serving the citizens residing in the southwestern unincorporated region of Manatee County, Florida. In 2019, we achieved a notable improvement in our ISO rating, advancing from a 3 to a commendable 2. Year after year, we respond to over 8,000 emergency calls, steadfastly safeguarding a dynamic population that fluctuates between 50,000 to 70,000 residents within a 25-square-mile area. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our operation of four strategically located fire stations.
