Chief’s Welcome
Welcome to the Cedar Hammock Fire Control District’s Website
On behalf of the Board of Fire Commissioners and our entire staff, I would like to welcome you to our web site. To keep you informed as much as we can we continually update our site with information about our department and events affecting our community.
Let me tell you a little about Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue. Initially formed as a volunteer department in the late 50’s, the District provides Fire and Rescue services to the citizens in the Southwest portion of the unincorporated areas of Manatee County, Florida as a career fire department. We improved our ISO rating from a 3 to a 2 during 2019, and respond to over 8,000 emergency calls each year. We protect a seasonal population which ranges between 50,000 to 70,000 in a 25 square mile area and we operate four fire stations. We encourage you to visit any of our stations and meet our personnel.
The mission of Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue is:
“Provide Quality Service with Pride, Commitment, and Courage.”
Sincerely,
Dr. Kyle R. Bradshaw, Ph.D., CFO
