At 01:52 on 03/15/06, Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue esponded to a report of a structure fire at 2411 26 Ave W. Upon arrival, at 01:56 firefighters found a single family dwelling heavily involved in fire, with flames through the roof.
 

Firefighters initiated an exterior fire attack with three hoselines and had the situation under control at 02:03. At that time, several searches were made for occupants, with no one located. The fire was totally extinguished by 02:30.
 

Neighbors reported that the house was rented by a family, who were not located. It is unknown who owns or occupies the house at this time. The fire severely damaged all parts of the dwelling and the building and contents are a total loss.
 

A total of 3 Cedar Hammock Engine Companies, a Battalion Chief and Investigators responded w/ a total of 15 personnel. Cedar Hammock was assisted by Bradenton Fire Department. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The fire cause is under investigation.
