Sarasota Bradenton International Airport’s 2008
Passenger Aircraft Disaster Response Exercise (PADRE).
More than 270 individuals from multiple agencies from Sarasota and Manatee County participated, making this drill a great success.  This first ever nighttime drill at SRQ included a live fire, 2 school busses that simulated an aircraft, 68 volunteer victims, and 39 mutual aid emergency response vehicles.  

The success of the exercise can only be attributed to all airport staff and members of the mutual aid agencies who helped plan months in advance, to all individuals who were willing to participate on a Friday night, and to the evaluators who assisted with critiquing the drill to ensure that the  actual event was handled efficiently and effectively.
