On Friday February 23, 2007, Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue
conducted the Jr. Firefighters' Challenge at Mel's Diner located at 1313 Cortez Road West.
The children had a great time donning the firefighters' gear and going through the maze.
Each child got a certificate and a fire engine after completing the maze.
The next Jr. Firefighters' Challenge will be held on Friday March 9, 2007,
at Sonic Drive In Restaurant located at 6008 14th St. West from 5 to 8 p.m.
