The class incorporates leadership, management, supervision, accountability and personal responsibility taught to local firefighters from Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue and West Manatee Fire Rescue.

A Certificate of Appreciation was awarded to
Robert Dugan for the unselfish act of rescuing
a 4-year old boy from near-drowning
on March 24, 2009. Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue personnel believe that this child
might not have made it if not for the heroic actions of Mr. Dugan.
